Who we are

VMetro is a mobility platform owned by Vostok Meridian Limited. Vostok Meridian Limited is the data controller for information collected through the VMetro driver registration form.

What information we collect

• Your name, phone number, optional email, gender, date of birth, and address.
• Confirmation of whether you hold a National Identity Number, Bank Verification Number, and driver's licence. We do not collect the numbers themselves at this stage.
• Your driving history, platforms, vehicle, and ownership arrangement.
• Estimated trips, income, energy, rental, and maintenance costs.
• Your vehicle, financing, technology, route, and availability preferences.
• Your reasons for interest, timeline, and how you heard about VMetro.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We process this information on the basis of the consent you give when submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in assessing driver demand. It is used to build a qualified driver database, to assess the viability of electric and CNG vehicle programmes, and to contact you about VMetro driver opportunities. We process it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Who can see your information

Access is restricted to authorised VMetro and Vostok Meridian Limited staff who need it for assessment. Aggregated, non-identifying summaries may be shared with financing and vehicle partners. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your contact details with third parties without a further lawful basis.

How we protect and store it

Your submission is stored in an access-controlled database with encryption in transit, row-level access rules, and an audit trail of staff activity. We keep registration data for as long as needed for driver assessment, and no longer than five years after your last contact with us, unless a longer period is legally required.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw your consent to be contacted. To do so, contact us using the phone number or email address from which we reach out to you. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

Important note

Submitting the registration form does not guarantee financing, employment, or vehicle allocation. VMetro will never ask you to pay a fee to register.
